Checking the working qualities of the rate
Field tests in an artificial burrow. The first official tests of dachshunds in an artificial hole was held by the German Hunting Club in 1881. Nora, designed for testing, had a central node, from which five corridors of different lengths emerged.
In the burrow there were boilers (extensions), dead ends, sharp turns, height difference, steep ascents and descents.
Hinged covers were provided to allowWas to access the hole from above. In 1991 a new construction appeared - a burrow with zigzag corridors and four boilers, as well as one dead end. Its disadvantage was that such a hole gave too much advantage to the beast.
Very complex holes, maximally imitatingNatural conditions and containing a wide variety of types of soil and obstacles, used the Association of German hunting dachshund clubs. In the future, various types of artificial burrows were tested, the designers of which tried to achieve full detection of the capabilities of the rate and to check its operation. Currently, the field test in Russia and Ukraine uses a hole type "eight".
It consists of two rings, larger and smallerDiameter. The circumference of the smaller ring should be at least 15 m., And larger - not less than 30 m. The rings are connected by a small pipe-jumper. A control boiler is located at the junction point on the large ring. In front, it is taken away by a grate, allowing to monitor the progress of the beast and the dog. On the smaller ring at the junction point there is a nodal boiler. It closes the fox, blocking the exits with gates (partitions), releasing them as soon as the dog approaches the beast. On the big ring there are plots with ups and downs, on it there is an entrance to the burrow through which the dog is launched.
In the tests, fees are checked and evaluated for the following qualities of the dog: search and pursuit of the beast; Fidelity, anger, viscosity. The search is judged by how quickly the dog finds the fox in the burrow.
Persecution - on the assertiveness and energy with which the dachshund drives the fox in the hole, forcing to leave it.
Fidelity of the rate is determined based on the numberErrors on the number of rounds of pursuit. If the dog passes them unmistakably or 1 error falls on no less than five laps, it gets the highest score. Errors are: empty dog passes along the ring (except for the first one); Every pass along the ring without a fox; Transition to oncoming traffic.
The malice of the dachshund is estimated according to how the dog goesIn the hole, how to overcome the active resistance of the beast, as attacks the fox. The highest score is given for contact with the beast and barking at a distance of no more than 25cm. From the fox.
Viscosity of the dachshund is perseverance, continuityWork in the burrow from launching and to distilling the beast or dead grip. The dog should not interrupt persecution, get out of the hole, stop and hang away from the beast.
Field trials of foxes in an artificialNore can be held at any time of the year. Use the beast at least 8 months, active, mobile, with intact limbs and teeth. Before starting the dog, the fox is closed in the nodal cauldron. As soon as the dog detects the beast and approaches the boiler, both gate valves that close the exits from the boiler to the large and small ring are removed and the entrance to the cauldron is opened for the dog from the side of the large ring.
Work in the hole lasts 15-20 minutes, of whichThe search and prosecution test is given 10 minutes. Pursuit should take 8-15 passes through the rings, of which at least 4 on the big ring. Malice is tested in a large cauldron. If the dog displayed sufficient malice for 10 minutes, but the persecution and viscosity remained unchecked, the dog is removed and the bypass is made (the dog's repeated message). Not more than 2 breaks are allowed.
Sometimes dogs do not pursue the beast in the hole, but work with dead grips. In this case, necessarily make 2 bypasses for the final check of the pursuit.
If after a ten-minute check of anger in the impasseThe dog took the beast by a dead grip, the test is stopped. Similarly, if the dog produced at least 7 exchanges (swapping the dog and the animal in the hole)
Maximum scores in points on field trials in an artificial burrow (search and pursuit)
- Fast - 20
- Loyalty - 10
- Malice - 30
- Voice - 5
- Obedience - 5
The maximum score is 100
The maximum score for speed is given if the average speed of the dog's progress in the hole is at least 2 m / sec. When the speed decreases, for every 0.1 m / s, 1-2 points are taken.
When assessing anger, the highest score is given for the deadGrip in place (grip for the throat, cheek, ear, neck) no later than 2 minutes after the start of the check. With an increase in time, the estimate is reduced. A mistake is also considered grip in the wrong place, throws on the beast without grasping, barking from a distance of more than 25 cm.
The maximum score for the viscous viscosity is obtained ifWorks persistently, continuously for the duration of the test. Errors are entering the hole with a delay, stopping work and access to the viewing window, delay or refusal to resume work after stopping, reducing endurance, entering the burrow only after the active influence of the host or accompanying person.
The score for the voice is reduced if it is hoarse,Muffled, weak. A gross mistake is working without giving voice. The score for obedience is reduced if there is a fuzzy, delayed, execution of commands or refusal to execute the command. For a check, obedience check is very simple: the dog must approach the master by gesture or on a weak whistle and be able to walk next to him without a leash.
To obtain a diploma of 2 degrees, you must score at least 70 points, including: for search - 21, for fidelity - 3, for malice - 20 and for viscosity - 25.
To get a diploma of 3 degrees, it is enough to score 60 points, including: 17 for search, 3 for fidelity, 17 for malice and 22 for viscosity.
